in my life - a beatles songbook

Four career musicians reflect on the Beatles, their influence on music as well as their impact on popular culture. Take a stroll down memory lane with the songs and sounds of the “Greatest Band that Ever Was!” The guys tell stories about how the four lads from Liverpool have influenced their lives, from when they first heard Beatles music as kids to looking back across a lifetime of inspiration. Take it from the Port Hardy Engager: “Great introductions, stories, a bit of historical context, and a fabulous list of songs will have everyone dancing and singing the night away with some of the most unforgettable music of all time.” And polish up your pipes for the singalong of audience favourites!

The group of talented musicians is led by Bruce Coughlan, a career songwriter, rock-solid guitarist, and lead singer of Tiller’s Folly. On keyboards is right-hand man Marc Gladstone, who's played with Doug and the Slugs, Nick Gilder/Sweeney Todd, the Brandon Paris Band, Prism, and Stone Poets. On bass is country singer Gordon Maxwell, who played and sang for Ian Tyson for 20 years, was one of the lead singers and songwriters in the Juno-nominated One Horse Blue, and is currently the bassist/vocalist in the legendary rock band Chilliwack. Self-professed “avid drum nerd” Nick James is a sought-after drummer for hire in many Lower Mainland bands.
